The brainchild of Glenn and Amanda Gavit, they started this business because they experienced firsthand the incredible impact of sauna and cold plunge therapy—it helped them overcome personal struggles with stress, pain, and anxiety, and find a deeper sense of balance.
Now they want to share these benefits with their community and beyond.
With their grand opening scheduled for January 17th, they’re excited to bring the proven power of ancient Finnish sauna culture to the modern world. Alternating between intense heat and cold immersion taps into a ritual that’s been shown to boost mood, ease stress, and speed up recovery.
This isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about building resilience, mental clarity, and physical strength.

Get to Know the Gavits
Amanda and Glenn Gavit are a dynamic duo whose shared love for adventure, wellness, and connection has shaped their lives and their business. Together, they’ve traveled unique paths filled with diverse experiences that led them to create SWEATSCAPE, a space designed to help others pause, reset, and recharge.
Amanda’s journey began in Northern Virginia and led her across the globe, studying Marine Biology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and diving into adventures like chasing sea turtles, swimming with great white sharks, and working on crab boats in Alaska. Glenn, originally from Corpus Christi, forged his path through football at Texas Lutheran University, where he earned degrees in Physics and Math, and later explored everything from coaching high school athletes to working on sheep farms in Australia and fishing in international tournaments.
Inspired by Finnish sauna traditions, they knew they wanted to create something special for their community—a place where people could experience not only the physical benefits of sauna and cold plunge but also the deeper, rooted culture of the practice.
While SWEATSCAPE reflects their shared passion for wellness, Glenn balances his role as co-founder with his career as an electrical engineer. He thrives on the challenge of solving complex problems, finding achievable solutions to costly puzzles, and making a tangible difference in his field. His analytical mindset pairs seamlessly with Amanda’s creativity and vision, making them a powerful team in both life and business.
The idea for SWEATSCAPE was born out of their personal journeys to find balance and relief in their own lives.
After Amanda faced postpartum struggles and discovered the transformative benefits of cold plunging, Glenn built a DIY plunge in their garage. Experiencing firsthand the incredible relief it brought to both body and mind, they dove deeper into research and traveled to explore various forms of contrast therapy.
Inspired by Finnish sauna traditions, they knew they wanted to create something special for their community—a place where people could experience not only the physical benefits of sauna and cold plunge but also the deeper, rooted culture of the practice.
SWEATSCAPE is their way of bringing something truly unique to Bryan-College Station. Combining high-quality sauna and cold plunge facilities with warm Texas hospitality, Amanda and Glenn have created a wellness studio where every detail—from towel service and complimentary electrolytes to personalized guidance through each session—reflects their mission to make their community healthier and happier.
Outside of SWEATSCAPE, Amanda and Glenn cherish their roles as parents to two young daughters, sharing their love for exploration and meaningful experiences. They make time for their own wellness as well, often enjoying sauna sessions together during their lunch breaks throughout the week—a chance to reset and reconnect amid their busy schedules.
Whether spending time with their children, working together to grow SWEATSCAPE, or pursuing their individual passions, they strive to lead a life that reflects the balance and intentionality they hope to inspire in others.
