Meet Eric and Deb, professionals who carry full responsibilities in their workplaces. You know the type. Successful, and still humble. They love their home, their work, and the city they live in.
Being deliberate about their lifestyle has created healthy rhythms for their family. You will find them on mountain biking trails in the summer and nordic ski trails in the winter. Adding a sauna to their home was something they had been dreaming about for years. They wanted the retreat away from the weight of professional lives, and a remedy to sore active legs.

The Design Process:
With a couple of older children graduating college and moving into adulthood Eric and Deb needed a flexible space. Most of the time it would be just the two of them enjoying the sauna together. So low maintenance and quick heat up times were valuable. But then when the kids came home it would need to still fit everyone comfortably.
Deb said: “It was a fun process creating the space together. The Cedar and Stone team were good listeners hearing what we wanted. At the same time it was an iterative process because we would be educated about the culture of sauna and what we might want to consider for our needs.”
Their sauna is our Heirloom Home Sauna size with 8ft by 12ft dimensions nestled in their backyard next to a few birch saplings. It’s an ideal spot to decompress after a long day at the office.

With a quick heat up time, and flexible controls Eric and Deb can set the sauna to heat up so that it’s ready for them right after their next mountain bike ride. Convenience and quality combined.
